How to Write a Resume – 5 Things You Need to Include

Writing a great resume is one of the most import and necessary steps in your job search. Your resume serves as your first impression on the Employer when looking for a job.
At first glance, the employer knows nothing about you unless they read your resume. You have to make sure it includes all of the important information an employer needs to go to the next step with you. Below is a reminder of the things you have to include in your resume and the proper sequence in which to present them.

1. Make a Heading. This will include your name, contact information like your mobile number and home number, home address and email address. It’s better to include your website especially when applying for a website master or graphical designer positions.

2. Make your job objective. This part should be concise, compact and simple. You are supposed to write about the job that you want to apply for. You can also include the title of the job to create clarity.

3. Create an outline of your skills. This is the most significant part of your resume as it includes your achievements, competencies and skills that are related to the job position that you want. Make a point that you include all your accomplishments that will make you qualified for the job. Make it appealing and creative because this is where you sell yourself to the employer.

4. Include your Academic Background. This will provide information about the degree you have completed that could be related to the job position. It is also better to include your exceptional achievements that can help you win the job. Include all the schools that you’ve attended to earn your degree.

5. Provide a chronological work experience history. This will inform the employer that you’ve already worked in several establishments. List your position(s) in each company and the dates of starting and ending your job. If possible include all achievements and your responsibilities in every organisation you’ve worked for within the last five years.

When you’re finished your resume writing, review your grammar and spelling mistakes. You will not get a second chance to correct your mistakes. Always remember that first impression is the last impression. Start your resume now and this article for assistance.
